Retail Sales

I really wasn't sure what to post about so I figured I'd relate it to my life. I actually work at Kmart and came across this short video about how retail stores are doing with the back to school season. And although sales have been going up since people are starting to shop for their back to school supplies, they are still no where near where they have been in past years. Like the video was stating some clothing stores were not doing as well as stores like Walmart or Kmart that sell the required items from teachers, and I guess people are just buying less expensive clothes for their kids since they don't really have the extra money to be spending.

Thanks for relating to your experiences in Retail! That's another aspect of blogging that is really important!

That clip does go to show where our economy is headed. With fuel prices going up people are looking for ways to cut back. This brings up the interesting idea of what companies will do to combat this change in economy.
