I think it is interesting that California and New York came out as the most unfavorable states for business. Originally I would have imagined that they would have been more open to business. It just goes to show how important it is to do your homework on the area you are planning to open a business in.
I always thought tha New York would be the ideal place to open a business of your own.Maybe with a strong business plan and a lot of hard work you can make the buusiness succesful and thereford you will be able to afford the high taxes.
I would have to agree about North Carolina being one of the more favorable states to open a business. I recently vacationed in OBX and felt that there were opportunities like housekeeping for large rental properties; or buying or building rental properties. I would of course advise checking out the market to see if it was saturated with either of these business ideas.
