Business Method patents

What are your views? Should a process be allowed to receive a patent or should the testing process used from a 1970's era decision still be used? http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2008/10/30/ap5629507.html

I always found business method patents to be difficult. I've studied up on patents thru books and study guides to become a patent agent. I'll have to look into this further. It might be worthwhile to mention that a patent today with a lawyer just one patent will take over 2 yrs and cost 10k.
