I like these ideas, because a healthier life style helps with concentration, and mood.
I think that healthy incentives is an awsome thing for companies to do. My company does alot of things to promote health and i really like it. They have healthy snack choices in the vending machines, offer gym reembersments, offer onsite weight watchers classes, mark on the menu in the cafateria good weight watchers choices, offer free flu shot, give paid insentives for going to wellness seminars during the working day and incentives to quit smoking i think its a really good way to keep your employees healthy and motivated because not only will they feel healthier making them more productive but they will want to work harder for a company theyfeel cares about their well being.
I wonder if implimenting a wellness plan will lower your insurance rates. If you are a small business that doesn't yet provide insurance. Will your employees be motivated, if you tell them it will lead to lower rates? Especially when you indicate that you are working towards offering benefits.
I think health is on the rise with corporations. Many executives are starting to feel that if their company can look good, then they will be good. It makes sense though. I personally like people who take care of themselves. That's not to say I won't do business with someone who isn't considered healthy, but I do notice when someone takes care of themselves. It can go a long way.
